The Book of Prayers
On Sept 16th 2009 our family, doctors and workmates gathered in the Chapel of Leonard Morse Hospital in which I worked for a dedication service. Our close friend Dorothy Walsh donated a leather bound Book of Prayers in Kenneth’s memory. Kenneth spent the last 4 months of his life in LMH. At the service one of the pulmonary doctors said that Kenneth was the bravest patient he ever met. Kenneth’s favorite scripture Isaiah 40-31 was written at the bottom of each page. Read more here.
“T” Runs in Kenneth’s Memory
Tereza was one of the nurses at Walnut Hill School and on October 4th 2009 she ran in Maine in memory of Kenneth. That was also Sheila’s birthday – the love of Kenneth’s life. A lovely day trip to Maine to watch the race along with Ros who was also a nurse at WHS. We “crowned” Tereza and then went back to the hotel and celebrated with some “bubbly.”
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40-31
